Jenni AI Chat code execution

Getting exact numbers out of AI Chat used to mean double-checking its maths, now it can run code to do calculations and analyse data for you.

Added

  • AI Chat can now run code to work through calculations and analyse data in its answers

  • AI Chat now asks a short clarifying question with options you can tap when your request could mean more than one thing, or you can skip it and let AI Chat make its best guess

  • Ability to find and replace text across a document, open search with Ctrl/Cmd + F and use Replace or Replace all

Changed

  • Improved AI models and performance for Claim confidence and Proofread reviews

  • Archiving a document or deleting a collection, comment or saved prompt now shows an Undo option, and leaving a shared document now asks you to confirm first

  • Signing up with an email that already has an account now offers a one-click sign in with your email already filled in

  • AI Chat history now shows an error with a Retry button when it can't load, instead of saying no chats were found

  • The citation style picker is easier to scan, long style names wrap instead of being cut off and language variants now sit in their own dropdown

  • Long citation style names in the AI Chat sources card are now shortened to fit, with the full name shown on hover

  • AI Edit now appears in the selection menu when you select text inside a table cell

  • The prompt strength meter in document setup and Workflows now rates how specific your prompt is, not just how many words it has

  • Charts with many data series are now easier to read

  • The keyboard shortcuts list now shows the correct shortcuts, adds find, add comment and ask AI Chat, and can be opened from the keyboard

  • The documents sidebar is easier to navigate by keyboard, Tab now moves past the list in one step and arrow keys move between documents

  • The daily usage limit banner on the free plan is now more compact, leaving more room for your writing on smaller screens

  • Opening a finished Workflow from its page now marks its notification as read

Fixed

  • Saving a PDF with the web extension failing, or saving the paper without its PDF

  • Web extension missing titles, authors and DOIs on pages such as ScienceDirect, PubMed Central, MDPI and ResearchGate

  • Saving from Google Docs with the web extension doing nothing, and the extension showing its own name as the page title

  • Long Literature Review runs timing out before finishing
