We've added full citation localizaton support and a simple way to assign PDFs to a specific collection(s) during the upload flow.

Added

  • Bulk import local PDFs and assign them to a collection in one go. Choose a destination collection while uploading, so new files land exactly where you want them

  • Multiple peer review comment threads can now stay open at once for easier side-by-side reading

  • Citation locale support which can be selected from the new citation menu. We’ve added a small preview component allowing you to visualise both in text and reference section entries of the style + locale

  • New Paper themes in both light and dark for a soothing, low contrast writing experience. You can select them from the Preferences tab in Settings

  • Caption support for tables

Changed

  • Context control in AI Chat has a new look. All context is handled from the context badges above the chat input. For Web and Library you can select Off (never search), Ask (approve or deny on a per message basis), or On (always search with confirmation when relevant)

  • Improved AI Edit reliability, edit commands that frequently failed now complete consistently

  • Fetch PDF is now available directly from the metadata drawer as well as the library sidebar

  • Improved Smart Headings prompt during document creation flow

  • The onboarding checklist now points you to Reviews instead of edit

  • Peer Review comments can now be sorted by severity, so the most important feedback is on top

  • Peer Review comments have the severity label visible even when closed

  • You can now select and copy comment text without the comment card collapsing

  • Clearer PDF upload progress feedback in the mobile upload dialog

  • Improved citation matching accuracy by reducing incorrect suggestions

Fixed

  • The comment popover no longer jumps to the top-left corner after deleting a space between 2 comment spans

  • Keyboard focus and tabbing now behave correctly in new document setup, including citation year options

  • Connecting Zotero or Mendeley now reliably works on Safari browsers

  • Tables can now be deleted and duplicated from the drag-handle menu

  • Clicking an inline citation now reliably scrolls to the quoted source

  • The editor no longer becomes unresponsive while loading on some long documents

  • The Settings dialog now scrolls correctly on mobile

  • .docx import no longer fails with a generic error on certain files

  • Removed a double border on the work type and limit to collection popovers

  • Failed or unpaid payments no longer remove access to an active subscription
