Keeping a consistent academic voice across a 10,000-word thesis is challenging. Now Jenni can review your writing against preset or custom tones from papers in your library.

Added

  • Tone of Voice review. Jenni can now check your writing against preset academic tones or select a library PDF to mirror the tone. The Review will surface where your voice drifts from your chosen style

  • Ability to cite case law sources alongside academic papers, bringing legal writing workflows into the editor

  • Pasting an Excel (or Word) table into the editor now creates an editable table instead of an image

  • In-app notification inbox when you are mentioned in a comment via unread indicator in the top navigation bar

  • Ability to toggle Autocomplete on/off when on mobile via Document settings menu

Changed

  • Table of Contents rendering is now faster in large documents

  • Drag and drop PDFs directly into the paper details drawer in your library

  • AI Edit popover now gives more space to the edited text and less to the explanation section

  • Users with a cancelled subscription can now proceed to delete their account without being blocked

  • In-text citations no longer show n.d. or full source titles instead of author names in APA format

  • AI Chat no longer crashes with out-of-memory errors or becomes unresponsive in long sessions

  • AI Chat "server busy" errors and dropped connections during extended conversations

  • AI Edit no longer shows internal reasoning or explanation text into the edited output

  • Citations no longer render mid-word while AI Chat responses are streaming
