peer review feature

Simulate a Peer Review and get pointed, inline feedback to help refine your paper before submission.

Added

  • Peer Review is now live. Peer Review gives you an overall score and feedback on your document and leaves comments directly in the editor on parts of your draft that need work. Open the Reviews panel and give it a try!

  • AI Chat now lists its references at the bottom of each answer, with a citation style picker if you’d like to see another format besides the default APA7

  • New Guide with thinking option in Autocomplete, perfect to steer the suggestion in a more appropriate direction

  • Ability to sort and filter comments in the Comments tab

  • Imported .docx headings now appear in the inline table of contents automatically

  • H4 heading support in the editor

  • Ability to filter cited papers by citation count in Autocomplete settings and Claim Confidence Review

Changed

  • From Peer Review you can now jump straight to the Comments list, and individual peer review comments are easier to locate in the editor

  • AI Chat now uses your full collection metadata when answering questions over a collection, so it knows what's inside

  • When clicking skip and start writing the title and headings will still be generated so long as their is a document prompt

  • Comments are now preserved when exporting, cloning, or pasting .docx files (works great with the new Peer Review if you’d like to export and read the comments in Word/ Google Docs)

  • Filter menus across the app now use a consistent design

  • Tables no longer show a visual indent in the editor

  • Toned down the prominence of the chat scroll-down button so it blocks less of the chat message when visible

  • Document created date now includes the year for better scanability

  • Disabled an automatic linking behavior in the PDF viewer that interfered with reading

Fixed

  • IEEE citations rendering the chapter field incorrectly

  • APA 7 German citations now use S. for page references instead of p.

  • .docx export now includes page numbers when the option is enabled

  • Page numbers can now be entered for chapter citations

  • More robust PDF upload flow to reduce errors

  • Reference list now shows the full page range rather than only the first page

  • Two-digit page numbers no longer show range arrows

  • Border appearing after clicking Edit in the text citation popover

  • AI caret no longer gets stuck in the thinking step

  • Title generation when skipping setup and starting straight to writing

  • Gutter menu no longer appears behind the fixed toolbar at the top of the document

  • Insert behavior is now consistent in the title block and will not break the document tile field
